Some people will drop everything when you need their help or support.
Some people will ditch important plans, or lose out financially, just to be at your side when you're alone.
I love my friends and family. I don't even have the words to describe how much their loyalty means to me during these numerous hospital visits. I am extremely lucky to have the people that I have in my life...
On my way to an MRI appointment last Wed., I wore a shirt from a fundraiser that one of my best friends raised almost $1,000 for last year. Kristin Baker is a Cancer survivor and one of my regular sources of strength.
She isn't scared of anything. She camped out with me in my hospital bed for hours yesterday. (I was admitted after a blood clot was found in my pelvis via MRI imaging)
She brings snaaacks. :D And sneaks in booze.
(not for me, haha)
My Mom is here through next week to help me through this visit, the longest I have had to stay... I can't believe how tough she can be. I'm not sure I'd be able to watch my baby in the different states I've been in through the last year. Unless it was because I saw my strength in her. I hope she sees some in me.
But, I do love so many pals that I don't always mention individually in my writing. Here's to you. Mainly for not making fun of me for looking so much like Mowgli. Cheers.
