My bee eff flew to London tonight for ten days on a shoot.
Here are more things I'm super jelly about England getting that I don't.
The World's Oldest Scientific Zoo & First established Aquarium
The Aquarium above, located within the London Zoo, was opened in 1924 by King George V and Queen Mary.
Props to those two for loving finned things.
The Snowdon Aviary is home to a slough of lovely feathered beauties. I'd love to stop by and squawk at them.
The Beckhams. I don't know why, but I secretly wish I were either one of them.
Hamley's.
Now THIS is a toystore.
Bonds, James Bonds.
Come on. Who do we have that I can pretend is comparable?
And I won't even get into my Harry Potter envy.
Sigmund Freud Museum
[This is also his home!]
Would be pretty interesting to see his bedroom, eh?
This boutique is a great vintage spot in the East End.
They sell adorable merch that changes all the time.
[annnd they have a pretty cool blog]
Hurricane Irene turned out to be a joke. We lost power for about two hours. People around here were pretty worked up, but being from Florida kept me a tad more relaxed. I love the calm, low-temp after effects. Suck it up, Boston.. so you got some puddles.
In other news, I started taking Primal Defense again today.
I have been reading Dr. Jordan Rubin's books a lot lately, delving further into researching natural options for dealing with my Crohns Disease. I remembered that I had already used this product, as well as others that this company has offered, when I was younger and more dedicated to my healing. I wasn't flaring the way I am now, so getting to that point again will take some time. I am prepared for that, along with the new diet I am attempting.
It has been years since I followed this regimen, but I was feeling great and in remission when I did. Here's to making the right changes to keep healing without harsher medications. Wish me luck!
And cheerio, suckers.
