Fall Into Autumn

Today's weather is going to be lovely.

As this may be one of the last few weeks in Boston that will be comfy without a heavier coat, we are venturing to Harvard Square to do a little shopping and take in the brisk Autumn air.  I have had  pumpkins on my mind, and this afternoon I will try my hand at carving something magical into a small one.  I do not look forward to however, the chance that achy joints may hurt the day's activities.

If you are suffering from Auto Immune Arthritis, stretching before you go out can really help to keep your inflammation from getting to you.  Movement is good, and stretching is great when you're finished perusing, too.  Warm up, warm down.  That's what helped me get through last winter.  I did trip and fall a few times last year in Brighton.  [I think the laughter may have actually been what had gotten me through, now that I think on it...]

Here are some lovely ideas to keep your paws [and more] warm this year.
Slipper Socks!

Hand knit socks - cloudberry
[These are actually hand made by a mother-daughter Etsy team!
Super cute!]

I know it's cold.  Now hush and come snuggle.
[Found at Hammerpress.]

Button Band Gloves
Adorable.
[Anthropologie]

C.O. Bigelow Chemist Lemon Hand Treatment No. 1135
I heart C.O. Bigelow.  Hard.
Citrus scents are known to perk your spirits, and this hand treatment is bomb.

Need a cool Hoodie?  I know a guy.

Go to Sunset Cantina in Boston and order the Pumpkin Soup.
Right now.  Go.
[Okay, shameless plug.  But I worked there for years and lived on this stuff... Trust me, you wanna try it]

If you're living in an older house, don't like to crank the heat, or you're just a little more chilly than everyone else, there is a type of natural space heater that I can happily recommend.

I think I'll make Cider tonight!
