Pills, Pills, Pills.

Ha.  They looked just as amped as I do about this post's topic.

Supplements are great.  Vitamins and probiotics can prove to be helpful for people who use them correctly.  But is realizing that you may need one of these bad boys to cart your junk around when you're in your twenties fun?  Not so much...

I've been putting off purchasing one of these suckers for over ten years.  I mean, you can get them at the dollar store for crying out loud.  No crazy spending, here.  Lame of me?  Probably, considering it's been no secret that I'm usually on a vitamin kick or taking various medications.  But there's something about caving, about giving in to responsible behavior that urks me.  My name's Alicia, nice to meet you.

Probably similar to the way that I put off things that I know about for long periods of time, or wait until the last possible minute to get things done.  With a serious disease, there's no time for neglect.  Being a girl who has sort of always fallen miraculously onto her feet time and time again, I've grown to take advantage of that luck.  This needs to change.

Gotta start thinking like an Independent Woman.  I take care of myself.  But maybe military-themed clothing will help me realize how much I can step it up with the little things.  You know, boost healing morale.  At the very least, I can buy a damn pill caddy.  Heaps cheaper than revamping my wardrobe now, right?  Unless I'd be able to hide lots of stuff in fatigue pockets...

You know, like a whole fourth band member?
Off to the dollar store.

Hi Ali,

I heard about your blog from Mike. I can relate to a lot of your posts, but especially this one! Sometimes it's the little things that are the hardest....I also did not like going to buy a pillbox but I finally did and then found that the one I bought was too small for all my meds! I had to go back and get a bigger one. Definitely an old lady moment :)

Hope you're feeling better...

Susannah
