I Talk to My Dog.

And I don't care who knows it.

Loyalty is a hard thing to find in this life.  We live to procreate, but crave companionship and love.  Most people that know me are aware of my affinity for all who are feathered, fuzzy, or finned.  I feel the way that I do because I am involuntarily (but happily) connected by my spirit to creatures without a voice of their own.  Speaking for them is one of the greatest honors that we could ever hope to be able to be a part of.
even when they fall asleep in your lap when you're working.
[no way I can wake him up now.]

My pup is always there.  Not because he's usually in the last place he sits (He can be a bit of a loaf), but because through every hardship and bout of sickness that I have come to, he's been at my side.  Literally sitting right beside me as I cried, or tossed and turned in pain.  He does love his Gypsy tears.

When a Crohn's flare is coming, or even in full swing, he just knows.  He, like every animal that I could type here as an example, has an intuition that humans just don't.
truly, woman's best friend.

It's pretty amazing, the relaish that an animal can share with a person.  I'm proud to be one of those nutty animal lovers.  And it will never change.

I'll love him forever, because really...
Cosmo is still the only guy I've fallen for that's never done me wrong.

Dogs are the greatest...they're always there for you and they don't care how you look or how you sounds...they will always listen, so that's why I talk to mine too :)
